Boat work is not easy. There's days when it's over ninety degrees and humid, and you're out there in the boatyard working in the sun for ten hours. Other days you just can't seem to catch a break, with rain interrupting your work, or when missing tools or parts forcing you to stop and make a special trip to the store. As a simple project drags on or becomes increasingly complicated, sometimes the last thing I want to do is to have to deal with suppliers and contractors, wondering things such as, is this going to be the right item, is it going to arrive on time, and how much is this going to cost me?
Of course this can not be entirely avoided, but, while working on Windborne, I've had the pleasure of working with a number companies, some great and some... well, we'll focus on the ones that have made the past few years just a little easier, brought a smile to my face, and sometimes even reinvigorated my desire to push through another day.
Fiberglass Coatings Inc.https://www.fgci.com/
The staff at FGCI was extremely friendly and helpful. They worked with me to understand my project, answered all of my questions, and ensured I had what I needed. They even took the extra step to work with me to adjust my order for large and hazardous items to ensure my shipping costs were kept to a minimum.
Composite Envisions

They have been my one stop shop for fiberglass and carbon fiber. They have a wide selection at competitive prices, and they ship on rolls, so the glass isn't damaged by creases. The staff has been helpful in answering questions, and the orders were processed quickly.
